Rat Control

Drain defects can provide an access route in some properties. Evidence may justify a separate drainage survey; rat activity alone does not prove a drain fault.

No. Noise can have several causes. Identification should use additional evidence before a control programme is chosen.

Ask for a written scope. Control visits and building repairs are different tasks and may be quoted separately.

A single capture does not establish that activity has ended. Monitoring and inspection of access routes help determine the next step.

Shared structures, food sources and access routes can be relevant. A coordinated approach may be needed where evidence crosses boundaries.

Provide exact sighting locations, dates, photographs of accessible evidence and previous treatment records.

The technician should explain what evidence to record, how monitoring will be checked and when the programme will be reassessed.

The extent of activity, monitoring locations, access and follow-up programme affect rat-control costs.
